Loud n Clear National Public Speaking

Loud n Clear Public Speaking (LCPS) is a national public speaking programme in Namibia initiated by Manpower Development Centre. The programme received approbation from the Ministry of Education to be implemented in schools as an innovative programme aimed at developing specific language skills in Namibian students with main emphasis on the English Language, Science, Geography, History, Arts and Contemporary issues.

Public Speaking Competitions

The Public Speaking competitions focus on both academic and social content within the Namibian and African contemporary context. Participants in the Public Speaking Competition will be required to deliver the following to the audience and will be evaluated on their delivery and knowledge of the subject matter.

  • An Impromptu speech;
  • Interpretive reading from a published work of their choice, and or a persuasive prepared speech on a topic of their choice;
  • A Poetic recital.
Entry to the competition The competitions are open to all schools in Namibia.
